SavDerm Biocellulose Film (Sterile)

Biocellulose film is an ideal wound dressing which perfectly acts as a temporary skin substitute against outside contamination, and the biocellulose produced by bacteria is a type of bacterial cellulose which has diameter in 2-100 nm. The bacterial cellulose uniquely constitutes a 3D mesh structure of micro-fibrils that causes water molecular pass through moderately and provides a favorable moist environment on wound bed. Due to the properties of Biocellulose Film approximate to human epidermis, Biocellulose Film can naturally adhesive on wound bed without fixation and form an ideal protective layer to advance tissue growth and to enhance wound healing.

    • The film is individually sterile packaged and can be stored at room temperature.

    Intended Use

    Suitable for superficial, acute or chronic wounds

    • Apply on all kinds of epidermal wounds, including the non-deep, surface layer, acute or chronic wounds.
    • Suggested applications：

      ＊Donor Sites
      ＊All-kind Ulcers
      ＊Pressure Ulcer
      ＊Abrasion
      ＊Cut, Laceration, contused wound

    Precaution

    1. Recommend to debride the wound again if there is an excess of exudates and reapply a new film if needed.
    2. To ease the itch or discomfort caused by scab, appropriately apply cream or petrolatum to reduce the dryness.
    3. For a deeper wound, replace the film immediately if any of the following occurred:
    (1) The film is moved because of excess exudates.
    (2) The film is broken to expose the wound.
    (3) Sign of infection observed.
    4. If the wound is inevitable to be touched or the wound is on the joint, it is recommended to cover it after the product is properly applied.
    5. Dressing is not sterile guaranteed if package is opened or damaged
