Antiseptic Wound Dressing

SavDerm Antiseptic Wound Dressing is a non-adherent dressing which consists of PHMB (Poly Hexamethylene Biguanide Hydrochloride) antimicrobial agent and high absorbent polymers capable of absorbing 14 times of exudates without leakage. PHMB can inhibit the growth of many kinds of bacteria, e.g. staphylococcus aureus, pseudomonas aeruginosa, klebsiella pneumonia, candida albicans and methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus to reduce the risk of wound infection.

Product Features

  1. Patented multi-layer design with highly absorptive polymer.
  2. Non-adherent contact layer prevents wounds from secondary damage during dressing removal.
  3. Breathable barrier layer protects against bacteria and contaminants.
  4. Moisture-retentive design provides an opportune condition to stimulate cell proliferation.
  5. Containing PHMB antimicrobial agent to provide stable and long term antimicrobial function and to reduce the risk of wound infection .

Intended Use

  1. Wounds with moderate to heavy exudate.
  2. Chronic wound:
    -neuropathic (diabetic) ulcers.
    -pressure ulcers. (stage I-II)
  3. Abrasions, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds.

Directions for use


  1. Cleanse wounds and surrounding skin with normal saline and dry wounds before application.
  2. Open package and remove sterile dressing.
  3. Keep the contact layer (mesh side) down and position over the wound site.
  4. Secure the dressing with surgical tape or SavDerm Transparent film.

Precaution

  1. Daily change of dressing is recommended.
  2. Place the mesh side down directly over the wound.
  3. Tape fixation is needed.
  4. For best results, do not squeeze or cut the dressing.
  5. Store in the cool and moisture free environment. Keep away from direct sunlight.
  6. It is rare to cause skin irritation due to PHMB. Discontinue use and consult the physician if any irritation, rash or any discomfort occurs.
