Biocellulose Film

Biocellulose film is an ideal wound dressing which perfectly acts as a temporary skin substitute against outside contamination, and the biocellulose produced by bacteria is a type of bacterial cellulose which has diameter in 2-100 nm. The bacterial cellulose uniquely constitutes a 3D mesh structure of micro-fibrils that causes water molecular pass through moderately and provides a favorable moist environment on wound bed. Due to the properties of Biocellulose Film approximate to human epidermis, Biocellulose Film can naturally adhesive on wound bed without fixation and form an ideal protective layer to advance tissue growth and to enhance wound healing.

Directions for use


  1. Cleanse and rinse wound with clean water or saline as needed. Remove the biocellulose film from package.
  2. The biocellulose film sized to fit the wound bed and up onto 1-2cm of normal skin around the wound. If using more than one film, 1cm of overlap of each dressing as needed.
  3. For best results, gently press the film to squeeze the bubbles or exudates out with a sterile and saline moistened cotton ball.
  4. After the biocellulose film is totally adhesive on the wound bed, discard the extra area of film. The dressing will be dried automatically.

Precaution

  1. In 24 hours, check if the dressing adhesive tight or if the exudates too much as needed. If no excess of effusion and no infection, it is no need to replace the dressing during the wound healing.
  2. For the excess exudates, use a syringe or drill a hole on the film to drain the exudates out and then cover the hole by small piece of film. In another way, rinse the film to open the edge of it and squeeze exudates out with a sterile and saline moistened cotton ball.
  3. Recommend to debride the wound again if there is an excess of exudates and reapply a new film if needed.
  4. To ease the itch or discomfort caused by scab, appropriately apply cream or petrolatum to reduce the dryness.
  5. For a deeper wound, replace the film immediately if any of the following occurred:
      (1) The film is moved because of excess exudates.
      (2) The film is broken to expose the wound.
      (3) Sign of infection observed.
